On Friday October 7, the Center for Research on the Wisconsin Economy hosted Christopher Waller, member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
Governor Waller was interviewed by CROWE co-director Kim Ruhl in front of a crowd of about 100 that included students, faculty, and community members. Governor Waller began by addressing current U.S. economic conditions and talked about the unique aspects of the current situation, including supply chain issues and the strong labor market. Governor Waller and Dr. Ruhl went on to discuss the future of monetary policy, including crypto currencies and the Fed’s role in generating, and possibly alleviating, economic inequality.
Governor Waller took questions from the audience before wrapping up.
We thank you for your continued interest in and support for CROWE. We look forward to welcoming you at our events in the Spring of 2023.
